Hahn installed the HVAC unit at one of my condos along with a wifi thermostat. Had a heat problem at my other condo and they sent someone out the same day. He diagnosed the problem and replaced my thermostat with a wifi unit. Hahn gives great service at fair prices. I'd call them again in a second!

This is the third time i've used Hahn's Air Specialists for Heating-A/C service repair. We also have used them for two annual inspections. While not the cheapest act in town (I believe you get what you pay for anyways) you get great, responsive, professional service from this organization. My father retired from the HVAC trade after a 40+ year career (first residential, then commercial), so I know what good service is in this industry. Generally, the same service person is sent out (Alan), even on the emergency repairs (I don't know how they manage that)... and when another individual does arrive, they are always as professional and detailed as he. When you speak to the members of their service team, you get the sense that they recognize they employed a quality company, which I believe makes them take proper pride in their work. Occasionally, when discussing things with many of the office personnel, it appears you may be speaking to someone so young that they may not have yet to own their own home; that they don't understand the significance of what you have said. They are organized and have always gotten their end of the transaction ultimately taken care of, but sometimes when you discuss things with them, long silences or odd replies indicate they may not have really understood your meaning. This leaves you concerned that the information may not have gotten translated to the service folks... however, in most (not all) cases, things seem to get communicated properly. I believe they are utilizing office tools and computers in an efficient fashion as they can quickly review the documentation generated by the service members. The service team always presents a clear statement of situations and services rendered, which keeps a clear trail of history for future reference. We have had to speak to David Hahn on one occasion to straighten out an issue... but he was courteous and dealt with the situation fairly. For these reasons, we use his service every time and share his information with neighbors, etc... Two Thumbs Up.

I own a rental property in Hilton Head and use a property manager to manage this property. On March 6, 2015 the property manager called Hahn's Air Specialist as a result of a call from the tenant that the heat pump was not working. On Suinday, March 8, the property manager said she had received 4 calls from the tenant about the heat pump and that 3 visits had been made by Hahn's Air Specialist. Hahn's had the unit working but it needed to be replaced soon and that Hahn's would work up an estimate for replacement. The tenant was due to move out by the end of March so we felt like we would get additional estimates and have the unit replaced while the property was vacant. On March 10 another call was received from the tenant about the heat pump not working. At this point we decided to send out a repair person from another company to evaluate the heat pump. It was determined the compressor was defective, an estimate was provided and we decided to have the unit replaced by the second contractor. On March 12 Hahn's sent the repair bill to the property manager (which I did not receive until March 16) for 3 repair visits for a total of $733.30 which they said would be waived if I selected them to replace the unit. By then faith in Hahn's had been completely lost and a decision made for the second contractor to replace the unit. I wrote David Hahn and told him that the tenant was very irate about the heat pump problems and I had to have it replaced. I expressed my concerns to him about his charges (2 charges for diagnostics for a total of $239), that I did not know that he would waive the charges if I selected him to replace the unit and why would over $700 be put into a 30 year old unit. I asked him as an owner to review the bill. His reply was we tried to make the property manager and tenant happy (What about me as the property owner?), that he had noted the unit was in poor condition and that if I had called him before selecting the other contractor he could have salvaged some of the parts he put into the unit He said that he had already reduced the bill by 1 of the 3 diagnostic charges, he could not reduce the bill further and that everyone lost on this job. I do not see where he lost anything on this job. He got 3 call outs (2 of which were premium weekend) and two diagnostic fees. If you charge a diagnostic fee why don't you do a complete diagnostic on the entire system the first time, especially since the unit is 30 years old? If his company had diagnosed that the compressor was bad on the first visit, the decision to replace the unit immediately would have been easy and he may have gotten the job.

Hahn Air Specialists exceeded my expectations in every way. The installation was going to be very difficult due to the location of the unit in a tight attic space. If you look at their Facebook page, you can see the type of work they do. To make the job more difficult, they utilized my existing furnace due to my budget constraints. They were able to complete the installation on time. The new unit is working great due to their hard work. It was identified after installation had started that the prior unit did not have sufficient duct work to operate efficiently. The team installed 2 new duct runs at no additional cost. This provided additional air flow that now allows for adequate cooling. Huge improvement. Great job guys and thank you.

Very Well! I live long-distance from this home when the AC was going out. I had 3 contractors provide estimates. Not only was Hahn's the best price, they were timely on getting back to me. Arrived at the time they said for the estimate and for getting the job done. I thought I could get a rebate from one of the electric companies, and I asked David Hahn about that. He checked it out, and said that I did not qualify because I was not a user of that company, which was true. (One of the other competitors said that I could get the rebate, so I appreciated David checking.) Hahn's also filled out the registration form and submitted it to Bryant. I very much appreciate the service they provided, and would not hesitate to use them again. I have already given their name to a relative in the area. Thanks, Hahns!!!!

Called this company on the recommendation of a friend. Purchased a condo with a 20 year old system and replaced the entire system including a WIFI thermostat. The company is very professional and reasonable. They are honest and fair with their customers. The installers were friendly and took pride in their work. They put down a runner on the floor and cleaned up after themselves. They went over the operation of the new system with us. A good experience.

On 8 20th a very polite young man, Chris, came to our home to scope a job to replace our existing duct work in both of our attics. This was the result of having various experts saying we needed new ducts after having spray foam placed in our attics. We got the name of Hahn, not only from Angies List ,but from a building performance specialist. Two days later we received our written estimate from Hahn via email. It was a whopping 7,300.00 more than the next highest estimate from the other two quotes we had received. So, we called to see if there was an error or if perhaps the scope that had been done was askew. Mr Hahn was very gracious and agreed to inspect the attics himself on 8-23-2013, saying he would rework and get back to us. Not hearing back, on 8-27-2013, we called and were told that Mr. Hahn was on another call and that he would ball us back within 10 minutes. We have heard nothing since. Obviously, Hahn is not interested in doing the job! That's fine ; but, how rude and unprofessional to not have the courtesy of returning our call or having a member of the office staff call and say that they were unable to do the job and thank us for the opportunity to bid the job. Nothing. In our opinion, this lack of professionalism and follow-thru should not be rewarded and future clients need to know.

Even before Chris arrived, Isabella, whom we spoke with on the phone was amazingly helping in listening to our problem, ggiving encouragement and setting up our appointment. Her husband, David Hahn, called us shortly after to speak to us about the issue we were having. My husband really wanted to save money at this time in our lives and David was kind enough to offer some parts he might have in my husband decided to do that. That genuinely caring attitude and integrity was the first we had seen from any air conditioning company. So, we were sold and we set up the appointment. Chris arrived promptly with a very friendly and outgoing personality! He was genuinely interested in helping us not just in completing the call and collecting money. He took his time in evaluating the problem and it was evident that he knew what he was doing. Truly, he was a hard-working gentleman for such a young man. An extremely polite cannot even hold a candle to his demeanor. He was very respectful and forthcoming. He assessed the problem, made a recommendation of a new motor and gave us a price quote. My husband has done everything as far as repairs in our 35 years of marriage, but this one stumped him and Chris provided the answer. Mike was able to stand over him and watch and Chris explained the different parts of the air handler to him as well. On the Hahn Specialists website, it stated 10% discount for seniors. I asked Chris about it and without hestiation, he corrected our bill making our evaluation call $20.00. Compared to other companies who charged $99, plus a gate pass; some even charging a two hour minimum plus gate pass, we were incredibly blessed by Hahn Specialists! Truly a company of the past, demonstrating honesty and integrity as well as knowledge and professionalism at a great price! This experienced reminded me of the days of old when a handshake was your word and you didn't break it.

They had installed the system in the house for the previous owner before I moved in and they allowed the earlier warranty to be transferred over to me. The system started going bad. So, they came out five different times in the past month and a half including their visit at the end of August. It did not cost me to make the system work properly. It included adding or upping for increasing the overall flow of the system. I would like to grade them with five stars for overall and for their customer service. They would be out in an hour even on a Sunday morning if I have to call them. They were very good. The workers were fantastic. They got right to work and it did not take them more than an hour to do any of the things. Everything has been holding up good and I have not had any problems. They diagnosed the problem and fixed it.
